The BlackEye® camera is a specialised infrared, weather proof (IP65) time-lapse still camera no bigger than a small torch. There’s no mucking around with fiddly sensors – just position it, turn it on, and walk away. It takes up to 40,000 photos (including in complete darkness) and comes with a rechargeable battery, tripod, and revolutionary FrameRunner ® software. This innovative software has built in image processing to automatically select images of interest.
Chances are that the theft or disturbance on your property is happening at night – the BlackEye® camera’s superior night vision capturing means you will soon find out the who, what, and how. There are no wires to hide, and because the camera has been designed with longer infrared wavelengths, it is invisible by the human eye at night.
After you've retrieved your BlackEye® camera the easy to use Framerunner® software will download the stored pictures into your computer via a standard USB cable. The Framerunner® software image sorting feature means you can find any unwanted activity within minutes.
Downloaded photos are in standard JPEG format and be printed out, emailed or used in any other way just like normal photos. Picture quality is often good enough to determine facial features for identification. See our gallery for example BlackEye® photos and sequences.

The stand alone BlackEye® camera takes pictures at a rate that you decide – from one every three seconds, to one every hour – and it defaults to energy saving mode in between.
The rechargeable battery duration depends on what rate you decide, and the camera stores up to 40,000 pictures. Once this limit has been reached, you can programme the camera to either stop recording or record over old images.
